For the Modernism Week Showhouse in Palm Springs, the outdoor space merges midcentury modernism with influences from the South American Modernism movement. Featured in both The Los Angeles Times and the center spread of Traditional Home magazine, the design uses bold, geometric forms and a vibrant color palette to create a striking contrast against the desert landscape and mountain backdrop. At its heart is a sculptural centerpiece—a modern interpretation of post-and-lintel construction—fabricated in collaboration with Warner Bros. Studios. This multifaceted piece functions as both a seating element and a dramatic viewport framing the surrounding mountains. The overall layout fosters a seamless connection between art, architecture, and nature, resulting in a sophisticated outdoor retreat that celebrates design innovation in dialogue with the desert environment.
